Ulises D. Techera, Ph.D., M.ASCE
Ulises Techera Ph.D. is a Passionate Civil Engineer and enjoys sharing his structural engineering and project management experience with his students as an Associate Teaching Professor for the University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder), at the Colorado Mesa University (CMU)/ CU Boulder Engineering Partnership Program, in Grand Junction, CO. Dr. Techera believes that a close and Strong relationship with ASCE greatly benefits the students and the civil engineers. “ASCE gives students opportunities to lead, serve, and compete in technical fields with other universities while having fun, learning, and building relationships with civil engineer mentors that inspire them.” “For professional civil engineers and engineers in training ASCE offers an exciting environment in which professionals can continue growing in their careers, network and build friendships, obtain service and leadership opportunities, and be recognized for their achievements.” For these reasons Dr. Techera has been instrumental in the creation of the ASCE student chapter at CMU and the reestablishment of the ASCE Western Slope Colorado Branch of which he is the interim President.
